Technology has come a long way since the initial invention of the automobile. Way back then traffic was not a problem and one lane of traffic was the only way to go. Today's multiple lane highways and sometimes bumper to bumper traffic has made driving much more treacherous. One problem that many people find with driving is switching lanes.

To help with that, Ford installs its Blind Spot Information System on some of its vehicles. BLIS detects approaching vehicles from up to ten feet away in adjacent lanes. It then activates lights on side mirrors to warn of this danger. This takes a lot of the trouble out of changing lanes.

Included with this system is the Cross Traffic Alert which warns about approaching vehicles when the car is put in reverse. It detects oncoming vehicles from 45 feet away.

In Woodside you can get more information about BLIS by contacting us here at Koeppel Ford.
